Ate Girl - Home Services was founded on April 9, 2018 by Kris Mercado — a millennial who understood, firsthand, how frustrating it is to find trustworthy, no-drama home help in Metro Manila. She named the brand "Ate Girl" after the Filipino cultural figure of the Ate (pronounced Ah-teh) — the dependable older sister, reliable, hardworking, and completely without pretense.

What makes Ate Girl different is the "Dibdiban" approach — a Filipino concept meaning wholehearted, full-effort work. Every cleaning session, every sofa shampoo, every massage booking is handled with the same thoroughness Kris built the brand on.
